Retrofittable surface inspection for tablets, hard capsules and softgel capsules.
As a complete unit (new system) with an optional conveyor belt or as a retrofit system for your existing inspection or sorting belt from various manufacturers such as Seidenader or Maschinpex.
Our automated camera inspection system provides a secure baseline check for each individual tablet or capsule with automatic sorting/ejection.
Operating principle
By taking multiple pictures of the rotating products, all sides are inspected and evaluated according to adjustable criteria. In this way, product sub-mixes, quality defects, broken tablets, or capsules can be detected.
Product-dependent throughput from 20,000 to 80,000 products per hour.
Suitable for almost all products (even non-rotationally symmetrical): Round tablets, Oblong, Plug-in capsules and Softgel capsules.
Flexible format range from 4 -30 mm
Inspection features
- Color changes due to dark or light discolorations (spots)
- Chipping of coatings of different colors
- Minor breaks or cracks
- Dimensions (length, width, area)
Faulty or incorrect products are automatically rejected and counter-checked.
The design of the SortSecure 360° ensures a simple user-friendly interface (HMI), cleaning, and time-saving product or format changes.
Inspection system
Compact inspection system for flexible use on new or existing roller conveyors for automatic tablet, capsule or softgel quality control.
Inspection features in the basic equipment:
- 360° color control for monochrome products
- 360° color control for multicolor products
- Lengths and widths measurement of the products
- Area measurement of the products
- Detection of stains (light or dark compared to the product color)
- Flaking of tablets from differently colored coatings compared to tablet core
- Automatic ejection of defective products by means of suction
Transport system (optional)
Inspection tape for visual inspection of tablets, coated tablets and capsules.
Compact design in GMP-compliant version.
Excellent cleanability with tool-free assembly/disassembly.
Extensive range of accessories for individual special requirements.
The product is continuously turned in front of the inspection system by the constant rotation of the control rollers.
